Tourists visit these islands happily and purchase the locally made handicraft items as a symbol of visit to Andamans. So it is suggested that the Andaman and Nicobar Administration may have some control over such local industries by creating a special cell that will look after price control, quality control etc. of the products in which the tourists are interested. Local industries may be guaranteed for the supply of raw materials and purchase of final products by the Andaman and Nicobar Administration/ tourism department.
