Tips on Food & Places to Eat in Vrindavan

The meandering lanes of Mathura, with their tiny shops selling scrumptious milk-based sweets and tangy chaat, are somewhat like a carnival for food lovers. And what better than a carnival that goes on all year long! The moist reddish-brown Mathura ke pede, the creamy khurchan, the diet-unfriendly rabdi, the spicy puchhka and chaat, the almost velvety kachori-jalebi and of course the mighty Mathura ki lassi, there really isn't anything found on the streets of Krishna's land that won't leave you asking for more. Located conveniently near temples, at Holi Gate or Vishram Ghat, the street food of Mathura is not just hard to miss but also hard to forget! The lanes of Vrindavan, especially those around Banke Bihari Temple are equally a foodies' delight.
